Dan Lynch — Professional Experience

An experienced business development and marketing professional, Dan's background includes significant contributions with Cullinet Software, Corporate Software, Micro Warehouse and Ancestry (MyFamily.com), as well as numerous business partners. During his tenure, Dan was responsible for executive-level relationships with the technology industries most visible companies, most notably Microsoft.

Dan has led business development, direct response marketing, merchandising, product management, branding, and ad sales — all with strong results. He has put his skills to work for some of the most recognized brands in the world (e.g. - Microsoft, The History Channel, Eastman Kodak, P&G, Hallmark, The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation). While at computer reseller MicroWarehouse, Dan was directly responsible for product revenues exceeded $400 million annually and representing 25% of company profits.

As Vice President for Utah-based Ancestry.com, Dan helped spearhead strategic partnerships which helped the company become a leading online subscription business. Among his contributions, he secured a $5.5 million investment from Eastman Kodak.

Prior to founding Mattatuck Consulting, Lynch led the direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for the A&E Television Networks, as well as brand integration and strategic marketing direction for their Genealogy.com and Family Tree Maker subsidiary based in California.

Dan earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bryant College (now Bryant University) with an emphasis in marketing and computer science. He is a professional genealogist and award-winning author of Google Your Family Tree — a guidebook to help family history enthusiasts unlock the hidden power of Google, the Internet's most popular and most powerful search engine. Dan has served as vice president and board member for the Connecticut Society of Genealogists, is a Life Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and has been featured on ABCs Good Morning America.
